Poker players will be glad to know that the 42nd yearly WSOP event will kick off its 2011 event on May 31, which is the day after the Memorial Day. It will run each day over 50 days lasting up to July 19 and will see more than 70,000 entrants competing for more than $180,000,000 in prize money. Since 2005, this entire event takes place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, a top casino in Las Vegas and year 2011 is no exception. The World Series of Poker main event is likely to commence on July 7 continuing for four consecutive days up to July 10. It is supposed to be the last tournament of WSOP and its conclusion is slated for July 19, once it reaches the final table comprising nine players.
No matter how much time is left far WSOP 2011, players having bracelet ambitions may begin planning about their journey to its venue from now itself. Through a ranking system, players might be eligible for a broadcasted circuit championship bracelet tournament along with $1 million award and success in it assures you a place at the leading table in poker community. WSOP for this year has managed to have one more event. It means that WSOP aspirants will get 58 shots to play at a title. Moreover, WSOP has increased its largest buy in to $25,000 from $10,000 for $25,000 Heads Up No Limit Hold’em tournament.
This world-renowned event also caters to amateur players through scheduling the low buy in events to play on weekends. The changed time limitations will hopefully be great for multi-event grinders and weekend warriors, because players do not need to play for 12 hours with a restriction of 10 one-hour play levels. For accommodating players, who fail to make it in the initial stages of any event’s sign up, for them, WSOP now allows buy ins through its fourth level.
The World Series of Poker event is tweaked, so that it suits the night schedule of a majority of players. Here, it means that all the four events starting on day one will begin at noon. Each year, the World Series of Poker changes things to some extent by rotating its mixed game tournaments providing players with extra budget buy ins and by tweaking its lineup for reflecting modern poker trends. Hence, it is a bit difficult to predict what WSOP in store this year. However, hard times will definitely improve this year’s tournament for each bracelet event.
Players will get to play a maximum of 10 levels each day. After completion of the 10 levels, the remaining contestants will get a chance the following day for continuing to play in the event. No matter how many contestants stay in the tournament, hard stop times are likely to be enforced soon after the 10 levels of play. Players have to be well acquainted with what is there for them and what they need to do for outshining others for ensuring success. Therefore, till the start of WSOP 2011, it is good for poker players to prepare for the event.
